Kevin Maloney

The prize-money of the Cricket Art Prize and the Cricket Poetry Award has been generously underwritten by Kevin Maloney.  He is the founder and Executive Chairman of The MAC Services Group, a leading provider of remote-area accommodation services in Australia. Kevin has had an extensive career in retail banking, finance and resources with over 20 years’ experience with the ANZ Bank and CEO of Elders Resources Finance Ltd.

Kevin, both personally and through his company, The MAC Services Group, is a strong supporter of the arts and sport in Australia. Kevin had the inspiration to install a photographic art gallery at The MAC’s Nebo Village and employ a full-time artist-in-residence there who has compiled a series of murals depicting key moments in Australia’s history. The gallery is open to the public and the artist regularly runs art classes for the local community.

The Cricket Art Prize is delighted to have Kevin’s support. Kevin is a great believer in developing innovative ideas and sees the Cricket Art Prize as a wonderful way to showcase cricket through the arts medium. “The values inherent in sportsmanship bring great benefit to our whole community and I’m very pleased to support the Cricket Art Prize. I encourage you to take part and enjoy this unique opportunity to showcase your interpretation of our great tradition of playing cricket through your art”, Kevin says.
